Generally "yes" because these files are backwards-compatible to a fault.
Effectively "probably" because your distribution may ship additional changes
on top of the upstream tree.
Practically "test it first!" because, well, if things go wrong the keyboard
won't work which is usually seen as a bit of a problem.
