The (II) means that they're 'informational'.
Not (**) from the config file, (--) probed or (==), a default setting from X11 itself.
So it would make sense that X11 is not what's doing it. (?)

No idea but if the DE is doing repeated work, how can I find out about it?
And why is it doing it 9 times?
Why not 2 or 3?
