I do not really know, but as nobody else replies, let me at least provide
three pointers:

The freedesktop repository

  http://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/font/bh-lucidatypewriter-75dpi/tree/

has a COPYING file, however, the older XFree86 repository

  http://cvsweb.xfree86.org/cvsweb/xc/fonts/bdf/75dpi/

has a much longer file LU_LEGALNOTICE about the Lucida fonts.  Markus
Kuhn on his page

  http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/~mgk25/ucs-fonts.html

also mentions the "copyright status" of the fonts, but does not provide
a copy of the license.
