If you'd like to contribute to Xorg now, you can start looking through
the resources on http://www.x.org/wiki/DeveloperStart/ and read through
http://www.x.org/wiki/guide/ and then when you find something that you
think should be fixed or improved, submit a patch for it.

If you're just interested in GSOC 2015, then you'll need to watch for
Google's announcements of the program on
