black screen on startx exit

NAICT, all is normal, except the last line (EE) doesn't make sense.

Occasionally, the black is not all pure black. On last try, text was barely 
discernable in very dark gray on a black background that's supposed to be 
blue, via this in ~/.bashrc:
tty=$(tty); [ "$tty" != "${tty#/dev/tty[0-9]}" ] && setterm --background blue 
--foreground white --bold on --blank 59 --store

Maybe it's setterm from util-linux-2.25 that's broken, but there's no string 
setterm in its changelog.
