Boot splash logo and uxlaunch issue with nVidia restricted

Hi all
I'm writing you because I have only one open issue left on my HTPC system
running ubuntu server + XBMC
The HTPC is nVidia based, I'm running drivers rev 310.
I've followed the istruction on

but
when enabling the boot logo (yes I did the handoff modification of
10_linux) I have conflicts with the nvidia driver when uxlaunch tries to
load XBMC

I think that something more shall be done around the grub init.d scripts or
the uxlaunch one, to do a proper handover of the nvidia framebuffer, or
maybe use a different framebuffer at all in grub?
