Thanks for the pointer. I've looked at that page and googled for nouveau
edid. There is some info about Nouveau detecting wrong EDID, however it
isn't clear for me how it does it if the data is quite sane, but doesn't
exactly match the hardware. Or does it know specific known-wrong models?
Do I need to use any options?
