Ati "FireMV 2400" vs. BiosLocation

Dear all,

I am trying to get an Ati FireMV 2400 PCI card to work.

This is a quad-head device, made from two almost-independent
video cards, glued together with some BIOS hack.

According to the post at

, the card used to work fine, but one had to use the "BiosLocation" option
in xorg.conf to configure it properly.

However, according to the post at

    http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/xorg-commit/2007-July/011935.html

, this option was later removed (without a trivial replacement),
because it was considered dangerous. (wtf?)

(There is an option called BiosBase,
but it does not seem to do the same thing.)

How am I supposed to get this card to work now?
