How on earth do you set your screen res after a crash??

The broken thing in my case is nVidia's closed-source driver.  IIRC the reason
is that you can't enable xrandr if you run dual-screen/separate X11 screens
with one monitor rotated into portrait mode.

At any rate I'm glad it's not just me!  Sounds like from what Luke says there
could be some difficulty getting it fixed though :-(
