multi monitor/multi card status

Hard to tell, because the problem occurs randomly, and I do not yet
understand the pattern or the factors that trigger it. Sometimes the
display is fine for hours, sometimes it's not. I can not answer this
question until I finish collecting some data over a longer time period.
