X.Org Foundation Board Annual Elections

The next annual election of the X.Org Foundation Board of
Directors will be in November---nominations start right
away.  Here is the planned schedule for the election:

Wed 2009-10-14 04:00 UTC  - Nomination period begins
Wed 2009-10-28 23:59 UTC  - Nomination period ends
Fri 2009-10-30            - Slate of candidates published
Fri 2009-10-30 23:59 UTC  - Deadline for new membership applications
Mon 2009-11-02 00:00 UTC  - Election period begins
Fri 2009-11-13 23:59 UTC  - Election period ends
Fri 2009-11-20            - Results published to the membership

Please note that only current members of the Foundation can
nominate or vote on Board members. Thus, everyone planning
to participate is required to either renew their membership
or submit a new membership request at
  http://members.x.org

To renew your membership, simply login to the membership
system at the above URL, click the "Renew Your Membership"
button and ensure that all of your user data is current,
then click "Renew".  Those considering applying for new
membership should note the information at
  http://www.x.org/wiki/Membership

This same membership system will be used for the actual
election, so please let us know as soon as possible if you
have any problems accessing it.

To nominate a member of the Foundation for the Board, please
send their name and a valid email address to
elections at foundation.x.org .  Current Board members whose
term will expire this year are Eric Anholt, Matthieu Herrb,
Adam Jackson and Carl Worth.
