DRI problem with onboard Radeon 2100

Hi all,

I'm having trouble getting DRI to work with my onboard Radeon 2100
(radeon driver reports a RS740 chipset).  To the best of my
understanding, all calls to drmOpenDevice fail. I'm attaching xorg
logfile.  I'm running Gentoo with kernel 2.6.26, the drm module appears
to be loaded; using xorg-server 1.3.0 with xf86-video-ati 6.11.0.

I would appreciate any hint as for where to look and what to check.
