I'm afraid, that is not the "current" version. The above URL gives me
the outdated Release 6.7 version of the spec, whereas the keysym<->Unicode
mappings in Appendix A were added with the Release 6.9/7.0 version.

So there is something broken in the way http://www.x.org/docs/ is updated.
