unless you disable hotplugging (Option "AutoAddDevices" "off"), any kbd
section will be completely ignored. There's "historical" reasons for it,
I'll spare you the details.

no, it's "False" by default and zapping is enabled in the server. If you
have xkeyboard-config >= 1.6 it's not in your default keymap. Though while
you have the gun, you'll have to add the trigger yourself.
setxkbmap -option "terminate:ctrl_alt_bksp" or the matching checkbox in the
keyboard preferences GUI if you have any.
