Hi Tomasz,

Thanks for your mail.

We are trying to investigate the dual head capababilities on the linux.

The man page of i810 mentions that the current driver of i810 which is
1.6.5 has the capabability of dual head.

http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/xorg/2007-January/021471.html

Also the above link gives the xorg.conf file for achieving the dual head
capability. But since we have different kind of monitors ie say TFT kind
so we are facing some issues in selection of Monitor type.

The monitor we have HP L1706 but the linux gives driver for HPL1702.

We are currently playing with the xorg.conf file but with little
success.

I have read the manpage of xrandr and Xrandr and we will try to
understand about this in near future.

We have the following laptop with Compaq nx6120 (HP nx6120) and the it
has the following display cards. This we get from Properties=>Settings

1. Plug and Play Monitor on Mobile Intel (R) 915 GM/GMS, 910 GML Express
Chipsets.
2. (Default Monitor) Plug and Play Monitor on Mobile Intel (R) 915
GM/GMS, 910 GML Express Chipsets.

The LCD Monitor is present in the Laptop whose dimensions are
"15" Laptop LCD Screen Display Panel XGA 1024x768 Brightview"

Best Regards

Deepak Bhatia

Xinerama is an old way to do dual head. xrandr-1.2 is new way.
Sir, what are you trying to do? Your messages to this mailing list are
somewhat incoherent...
