VGA output with Radeon Mobility X700

Hi.

My laptop has a Radeon Mobility X700 controller; this setup requires an
option to work properly:

	Option "MonitorLayout" "LVDS, NONE"

("LVDS, VGA" works too)

(bug #5473, now fixed, but I can not upgrade at the moment)

I would like to know if it is possible, with this configuration, to enable
the VGA output on the fly with xrandr, and to set the hsync/vsync values.
