Please pull the 'server-1.4-branch-gentoo' branch from 
ssh://people.freedesktop.org/home/dberkholz/xserver.git. This adds the 
following commits to fix build breakages I've hit on Gentoo (using 
--as-needed LDFLAGS) that no longer exist on master branch because of 
more extensive reworking, so these were not committed to master and 
cherry-picked.
