xfontsel stuck at "Processing fonts..."

Running xfontsel displays "Processing fonts..."

Clicking on drop-down menus, shows the outline of dropdown menu and 
sometimes it list of entries. But can't see where the section with the 
"-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*" overlaps. And the dropdown outline never 
disappears -- so may have multiple.

I suspended in debugger and it was here:

That is libXt-1.0.5. And also with latest xfontsel.
