[BUG NV] super slow nv on Quadro NVS 140M

After installing X on my shiny new laptop that has a NVIDIA Quadro NVS
140M I was surprised how poor it performs.  It is especially slow when
scrolling text and on top of the slow scrolling it slows the machine
down to a crawl as well.  Since I compile a lot of code it really is a
hindrance.

I tried stock OpenBSD X that comes with the 2.1.6 nv driver.  I then
upgraded that to the 2.1.8 (latest in GIT) but with the same results.  I
also tried Ubuntu 7.10 on both amd64 and i386 with the same results
(they use the 2.1.5 driver).  Log files can be found at:

I don't need any flashy 3d stuff but I do need 2d to perform somewhat
acceptably.

Is there someone out there with a clue-stick?  Did I miss some something?
