How do I build a dri-enabled Xorg-server?

I build Xorg using the build-from-tarballs script.
I see that the Xorg-server is not dri-enable acording to the config.log.
Should I build it seperately and use the --enable-dri option?
I saw this option is automatic.
I commented out from the script some drivers that failed to build is this
the cause why my Xorg-server is not dri enabled?
