Preventing screensaver when playing movie?

I sure hope not! It would leave the system in a broken state if mplayer 
is killed before it reaches the point when it turns DPMS on again. No 
application program should ever use commands like that. Only 
configuration utilities like KControl may call functions like 
DPMSDisable/DPMSEnable. Application programs are not allowed to turn off 
or disable anything. They are only allowed to reset the countdown, so 
that sceeensavers are delayed, and only whilst actually playing a movie 
or something (not when they are paused).
