Autodetection of Resolution of Attached Monitor

Dear All,

 

I have a query related to the autodetection of the resolution of the
attached monitor.

The above link talks about the autodetecting the attached monitor
resolution as given below.

 

The below commands show that the xrandr1.2 gives the output. 

 

Question: Is it possible to autodetect the same settings in xrandr1.1
which is available with X11R7.1 ?

 

Output of running the xrandr1.2

 

$ xrandr -q
