.... Sorry if I took offense, I have a failing that I think everyone knows
everything I do.  That itself may not sound right, but we shouldn't seek to
extend this any.  Since my total lack of understanding autotools means that all
of my testing requires a total rebiuld of all of the sources, this is going to
take some time, even though I;m on a fairly fast machine.  Just don't hold your
breath over this.
