Contrary to your instructions (just for a quick test), I compiled this
driver against what is currently in Debian Lenny (i.e., xorg-server
1.3.0.0, Mesa git snapshot close to 7.0.3-rc1, using DRM from
linux-2.6.22 series). Result: 2D seems to work (of course, "just a
browser" doesn't count as a stress test), but "glxgears" prints this:
patrakov at home:~$ glxgears
libGL error: drmMap of framebuffer failed (Invalid argument)
libGL error: reverting to (slow) indirect rendering
XIO: fatal IO error 104 (Connection reset by peer) on X server ":0.0"
after 1516 requests (44 known processed) with 0 events remaining.
(and, since I have AIGLX disabled, this means software rendering). So,
either please don't pretend that you are compatible with this old
release of xorg-server (i.e., update the requirement in the pkg-config
test), or fix the problem.
