playing around with remote x sessions

i finally got a remote x session working (using xnest)!  its been something 
ive been trying to do for a long time now.  is there a resource out there 
where i can learn if there are any ways to tune or tweak the performance?  
sometimes, just wagging a window around by its title bar, can pull 20mbit.

and btw, just incase someone asks why i would use xnest instead of something 
like vnc..., its becuase the remote computer is an unattended server.

so if anyone has any advice on how to make it work as best as it can, id 
appreciate it.
