Blinking X cursor (in xterm) - please make it stop!

I'm being driven nuts by the X cursor blinking on and off when I
scroll back and forth along a line in my terminal. It's noticeable on
both screens, but especially so on the (built in) SIS one; no idea
why. Basically, I want to know if there's any way to stop it? I've
looked all through the xterm man page without seeing anything
relevant. It's only started being really annoying recently, although I
noticed the flickering a few times before now. Is there *any* option
to stop it? Please? The fluorescent lights in my new office are bad
enough :o)
