Bug or misconfiguration using Intel driver and external monitor

Hi List!

I have just unpacked my new external tft monitor (1680x1050), plugged
it in and ... it works! almost...
the picture on the monitor is shifted to the right. (see screenshot)

i'm using thinkpad r61 with intel965gm card with current gentoo xorg version
and linux-2.6.24 with thinkpad-acpi patches .

screenshot and xorg.conf attached. 

is this a bug or misconfiguration in my side?
