New guy with Intel 965 issues

Hmmm, well the building part isn't an issue, everything compiles ok. On the 
i915, this is a module that the Intel driver loads, correct? I set my xorg 
config file to use the "intel" driver, which attempts to load i915 when X 
starts. I'm only manually modprobe'ing it for testing purposes.

Someone suggested my kernel (2.6.21-smp) might not have the PCI id's for my 
video hardware, and said I could try a newer kernel. Could this cause what 
I'm seeing? At this point I'm about ready to try that, pretty much out of 
ideas.
