hi Zhenyu

"ForceSDVODetect" really did the trick. thanx :)
unfortunately picture on external monitor connected
to that port is corrupted no matter which graphic mode
i switch to. here is what i am trying to do:

up to now i have been using fedora core 9, which has come
with intel xf86 driver version 2.2.1. i have had connected
external TV to port TMDS-2. TV has worked out the box.
it has been working at 1024x768x85.0 with
no problems.

recently i installed fedora core 10, which came with
intel xf86 driver version 2.5.0. from this point on
i am unable to set correct video mode. picture is
always divided into two part. left part is a part of actual
screen while right part is a mess and it flickers.

the problem is reproduceable. any time i switch to
fc9 external tv is working ok. test were made on
the same pc.

i checked video modes under fedora core 9 and copied
them under fedora core 10. picture was still corrupted.
while comparing video modes under fc9 and fc10 i also
noticed that:
  - TMDS-2 in renamed into HDMI-2
  - same video modes have different XIDs

is this expected feature ?

do you have any idea how to fix this problem ?

thanx

matjaz

video mode examples:
¤ under fc9 (xf86-intel-video-2.2.1)
      1024x768 (0x51) 94.5MHz +HSync +VSync
          h: width 1024 start 1072 end 1168 total 1376 skew 0
  clock 68.7kHz
          v: height 768 start 769 end 772 total 808
             clock 85.0Hz
¤ under fc10 (xf86-intel-video-2.5.0)
      1024x768 (0x55) 94.5MHz +HSync +VSync *current
          h: width 1024 start 1072 end 1168 total 1376 skew 0
  clock 68.7kHz
          v: height 768 start 769 end 772 total 808
             clock 85.0Hz
differences:
- fc9: video mode = 0x51, active mode is not marked as current
- fc10: video mode = 0x55, active mode is marked as current
