XServer blank Screen, ATI Radeon Graphics card, Linux kernel 2.6.24

I just solved a really similar problem - a secondary monitor on a laptop 
with a radeon 330N would not turn on. I downloaded the latest unstable 
ati driver, compiled and installed, and it fixed it :D

I can't really help more now, since its bed time for me....
