Attached are the 2 logs (from a good run, and a bad run), and it seems
the only difference in the log is only here ...

No, just running on standalone X60s on linux-2.6.25. I can switch to
console and screen would not mess-up. Only messed up upon quiting.
(II) intel(0): Integrated Graphics Chipset: Intel(R) 945GM
I just tried with latest git, same problem. Reverting the commit
solves the problem.
