On the machine which works:
2690 tty2 SLs+ 0:43 /usr/bin/X11/X -indirect cnxserv
On the machine which does not work:
2727 tty2 Ss+ 0:00 /usr/bin/X11/X -indirect cnxserv

cnxserv id defined as an alias for machine A in A file /etc/hosts.
