Hello,

i have a Dell D630 with an Intel Chip:

00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile Integrated
Graphics Controller (rev 0c)
00:02.1 Display controller: Intel Corporation Mobile Integrated Graphics
Controller (rev 0c)

Dual Head (17" TFT TMDS-1 or 17" TFT VGA and LVDS) works fine. But i
can't get triple head working.

Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1440 x 1024, maximum 2720 x 1024
VGA connected 1280x1024+0+0 (normal left inverted right) 338mm x 270mm

   720x400 70.1
LVDS connected 1440x900+0+0 (normal left inverted right) 303mm x 190mm
   1440x900 60.0*+
   1360x768 59.8 60.0
   1280x800 60.0
   1152x864 60.0
   1280x768 60.0
   1280x720 60.0
   1024x768 60.0
   800x600 60.3
   640x480 59.9
TMDS-1 connected (normal left inverted right)
   1280x1024 60.0 + 59.9
   1024x768 60.0
   800x600 60.3
   640x480 60.0
   720x400 70.1
TV disconnected (normal left inverted right)

If I try:
$ xrandr --output TMDS-1 --auto
xrandr: cannot find crtc for output TMDS-1

Okay, I read [1]. As far as I understood, I have to share an crtc:

$ xrandr --output TMDS-1 --auto --crtc 0
X Error of failed request: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
Major opcode of failed request: 156 (RANDR)
Minor opcode of failed request: 21 ()
Serial number of failed request: 18
Current serial number in output stream: 18

Does my hardware support this or is it not possible?

If triple head is not possible, can I disable the internal LCD and use
dual head with DVI and VGA connected monitors?

Greetings,
Martin
