magictouch input driver

Right, indeed my previous Linux distro on my home computer was a redhat (not
 entreprise nor fedora). Fairly old. Was working like a charm though. But now
 that I use Ubuntu beta 7.10, what would be the next step to find a solution,
 considering that I have no experience in X programing?

Where 'a while' means XFree86 3.x.
