Getting xserver patches reviewed

Maybe 3 categories (for xorg related code) :

 - Official git repositories (only master branches)
 - Contributors' repositories and unofficial projects
 - Deprecated stuff and archives

 * Have each xorg/proto/* or some other (maybe central?) place contain
all current protocol specs. Some are really hard to find, even with
google's help. FWIW, I'm still looking for the XShape documentation on
fd.o [1]

 * Maintain somewhere a list of X11's best current practices, which
extensions are relevant, which ones are deprecated and their recommended
replacements (gtk and Qt both have such info in their API documentation)

This is just a list of things that would help me (as such it's quite
selfish I agree) but I'm sure it would help potential contributors and
API-users getting faster into Xorg's world.
