regression in X11R7.2?

   Both the current OpenSuse 10.3 and Fedora 8 releases have
broken the ability to run the NMRDraw program from the
NMRPipe package (http://spin.niddk.nih.gov/bax/software/NMRPipe/).
The previous OpenSuse and Fedora releases had no problems with
this program but now it aborts with the error...

nmrdraw: xcb_io.c:285: _XAllocID: Assertion `!(dpy->flags & (1L << 3))' failed.
Abort
