Error:-xf86OpenConsole: Cannot open /dev/tty0 (No such file or directory)

Hi All

Am  trying to make some changes on Xorg for getting indic support from
server side.
Am doing this experiments on Knoppix 5.0.1
Linux Kernel version 2.6.19

And I had successfully compiled Xorg from the tar balls .And when am
trying to start from the new x from normal user it gives error like

xf86OpenConsole: Cannot open /dev/tty0 (No such file or directory)

But entry /dev/tty0 is available in /dev/ folder
And X is running properly from the root.


So please help for solving it.
