I think you meant a developer / producer of such binary drivers. When
they contribute to x.org they have the right to hide their knowledge
they built upon x.org. Ok so far. Their black boxes produce failures in
x.org, but the developers don't care, because they are arrogant and
waiting for an evidence of their mistake, or they need to do other
work (some companies really care about it, I know). Many people using
these drivers may have problems which affect x.org development and use
of it in a negative way, while they don't know that their problem is in
this small (sometimes even bigger) black box.

The search for this problem to prove the developers mistake takes a lot
of power. After a certain time you stand in front of a wall (like the one in
Berlin), need to climb up and you perhaps never reach the other side.
The most negative result of this is that the problem will never be
solved.
