This is a limitiation in randr's support of my chip? As mentioned, it do work 
using i810 with one of my two widescreens (an Acer), it's the Dell I have at 
work that don't work correctly (getting image, but not all of it and not in 
the correct resolution). Effective resolution at home is thus 3080x1050 (note 
that I'm not using Xinerama, but have a X session per monitor).

It also seems like I forgot to mention that I got no image on the LFP when I 
disconnected (and disabled) the external monitor either.
