Virtual desktop gone

Some Debian users sent the same request since RandR 1.2 now uses the old
Virtual line in xorg.conf without apparently keeping the old behavior
enabled (I mean things like hitting the corner of the physical screen
would move it in the virtual screen). I'd like to know too whether the
old virtual desktop feature is supposed to work combined with RandR 1.2
or whether it will just disappear.
