Cross compiling of X 7.2 to Mips Architecture

Hey all,
I'm new to this, and I'm trying to cross compile X for mips Architecture 
(from intel).
I'm currently having all sorts of difficulties, so if someone already did 
this cross compliation, and will be willing to share that knowledge with me 
(e.g. envrionment varaibles that need to be set, programs that need to be 
supplied, a compilation script, patches other than those suggested by the X 
site, etc.) - I'll grately appreciate it.
