Is progress being made on xrandr rotated display performance?

With recent (about a week old) git I see a improvement. Xorg is using 
96% CPU
and the movie is no longer dropping frames. I'm playing MPEG-2 720x576 
media.

My benchmark for the performance is the modesetting branch code from sep 
2006 that
used 30%.
