To build against xserver 1.2, you need the hw/xfree86/modes and
hw/xfree86/parser directories from xserver >= 1.3 at build time.  These
are included in the driver release tarballs, but not in the git
repository.  The driver should then run fine with an earlier server,
AFAIK.
