Ahh cool, so the new 1.2 releases should degrade nicely when being
queried in a 1.1 way then.

So updating the major/minor defines and recompiling should have pretty
much the same affect as not recompiling at all (assuming ABI is OK).

So everything just works then? :) You are a clever fellow!
