Having played a little with this (as you know), I am keen to get my
distro to adopt this ASAP. Can you tell me if there is any problem with
installing these three new releases without updating (but certainly
recompiling) the xserver from the 1.2 release? e.g. things will continue
as before with previous functionality but will suddenly be all singing
and dancing should a user build a server then driver that supports it
(e.g. build xserver 1.3 branch + modesetting branch of intel driver)?

Does that make sense what I'm saying? I hope you can extract what I'm
asking :p
