Not sure what you were trying to achieve with that git-pull -s ours
there.

I didn't see a patch attached, despite the subject of the message.

The current code will hopefully avoid the BIOS VBT tables and give you a
decent mode.  However, if you have a patch to fix up the table reading
on your laptop when that's the case, that would still be useful as we do
fall back to the VBT when we have no other source of panel mode
information.
