Xserver starts in some 16:9 resolution

Hi,
     I've upgraded xorg to xorg-server 2:1.4.1~git20071119-1 from the 
debian package and had a similar problem to thread 24968 ( 
http://lists.freedesktop.org/pipermail/xorg/2007-May/024968.html ) where 
the server selects 1280x768 despite the ServerLayout specifying a Screen 
with other configurations and the -layout option specified on the 
command line. I found that the previous xorg server was accepting 
slightly inaccurate HorizSync and VerticalSync settings whereas the 
newer one requires accurate settings. It's using the Intel i810 driver.
