can I beg for some eyeballs on a netbsd wscons/XInput mouse problem?

yes. But, interestingly, I don't see how the subsequent comments about a
patch can be true, because I can't see them in the code state I can fetch.
(if you can help clue me up, thats good)

it *may* be the same. the symptom has a difference, but its in the same
class.

I don't think it is. I have been testing with the modular-xorg-servers
for 1.3.99, and 1.4, both Joerg and Blairs code in x11/ and wip/ and
thats when this problem shows up: its on the OLDER server, I don't have
the problem.

I have just unpacked 1.4, and I have git head state, and I must be doing
something wrong: I cannot find the patch that is attached
to the above bug as being applied. neither by code looking, nor GIT logs.

(thats what worries me. I did check git-log, and I cannot find the log of
the applied patch that Eric and co say they applied, and back-ported to
1.4)

the current state of hw/xfree86/common/xf86Xinput.c does not have any
instances of pow() or float() and is substantially different to the one
that patch appears to have been applied to. in the 1.3.99 and the 1.4 I
can fetch.

Have I gone badly wrong here?
