Our SDVO based systems work well with the F8 driver version, so I'd 
expect them to work well for you too.  If it's possible for you to 
upgrade, I'd recommend giving it a try.  If it doesn't work, please 
file a bug and include your X log, configuration, and whatever other 
details you can provide.
