again: [ failure to load i965_dri with current git drm] - known causes ?

Attaching gdb to xorg additionally shows:

ERROR!  mapping regions

This seems to happen related to .... something (cooperation mesa<->drm..?).
Are there any build errors one could make to cause this to happen?
